Silent Card Shuffle Example

Have a higher order thinking activity for ENGLISH classes. Use ITC’s ‘Silent Card Shuffle’ thinking strategy to implement the following lesson:
Select a ballad, sonnet or poem and print sections on a series of cards.
• Students arrange the pieces in the order they believe the pieces should take.
• Students justify their decisions in an extended writing task incorporating
discussion on structure, construction, rhyme and arrangement.
